Note · Creator Quality Index is referred to as CQI throughout this page.
CQI is the layer that ranks creators inside any result set. You pick the niche, the country, the platform; CQI analyzes the matching creators across six quality signals and returns the strongest first. The purpose is simple: under any search you run, the creators most worth your attention should be at the top, and CQI is what makes that happen.
CQI runs the same six checks against every creator on every platform. Each one contributes independently, so a creator can be strong on five and average on one and still score well overall. Below is the analysis as it runs on a single creator.
Each signal independently predicts whether a creator is the strongest fit for a brand brief. Engagement rate captures real audience response; keyword signal confirms the creator actually covers the niche; follower size, verification, and language match what most clients are paying us to find; and the activity check confirms the creator is consistently producing content.
Two creators can share the same niche and still differ on every other signal that matters: engagement, follower size, verification, posting cadence. CQI is what separates them. Below is the same query with two illustrative candidate creators who both cover travel but score very differently.
Both creators are active and cover travel. A keyword search would rank them similarly because both bios pass the niche match. CQI is what differentiates them: stronger engagement, larger following, verification, and a deeper niche signal push NikolaTravels higher in the list, while MiaShortStays still appears further down rather than at the top.
CQI is pre-computed for every creator on every platform we cover and recalibrated regularly. A creator's score is not fixed: it changes as engagement, audience, and posting behavior change. A creator going through a quiet stretch will see CQI dip, and a creator gaining momentum will see it climb.
Two reasons. First, the math evolves: we tune it as new validation data comes in, and any published formula would be out of date the moment we improved it. Second, if exact thresholds were public, some creators would optimize against them. The categories are stable; the weights inside them are not, and should not be.
CQI is not a standalone product. It is a layer that runs underneath every ranked feature on the platform. Anywhere creators are returned in a specific order, CQI contributes to that order. We treat it as a foundation, not a feature.
CQI uses the same two-track validation as every other data point on this site. We check that CQI scores correlate with the quality our clients care about, and recalibrate when they do not.
CQI is not directly visible. Its effect is: under any search you run, the creators with the strongest engagement, the most relevant niche signal, and the most consistent activity rise to the top of the list, ranked by the quality signals that actually matter to brands.
