A creator's follower list is a vanity number. A large share of any creator's followers never like, comment, share, or watch all the way through. They are subscribed but absent. A brand pays for attention, not for subscription, so the audience profile that matters is the profile of the people who actually pay attention.
That is what audience analytics on this platform is built around: the people who engage with each creator's posts, used as the source signal for who the audience really is and what they care about.
Engagers are the most direct evidence of who a creator's audience actually is. They are the subset of the reach that chooses to interact with the content, which means their public profiles, demographics, geography, and interests are the closest proxy for the people who will actually see and respond to a creator's posts. We treat the engagement set as the source signal for every audience profile we build, using at least 1,000 engagers per creator and up to 10,000 for creators with larger audiences. Audience estimates are extrapolated from public engagement signals, and every audience statistic is an aggregate. The rest of the page describes how that signal is enriched and validated.
"Found this hidden valley two hours from Lisbon."
For each hashtag a creator regularly uses, we analyze the recent posts published under that hashtag and analyze the other creators who posted them. Those creators often share overlapping audiences with similar demographic profiles. By aggregating the known audience data of creators who consistently post under the same hashtags, we build a secondary picture of who the audience in that content space looks like. This signal is broader than direct engager overlap, but it confirms the audience composition aligns with the content niche the creator occupies.
A stable audience produces stable engagement patterns. When likes drop or comments surge, when commenter languages change, or when this month's engagers differ substantially from last month's, the audience is in motion. These shifts are tracked continuously so the audience profile reflects the current state of the creator, not a stale snapshot.
The three signals do not contribute equally. Engagers dominate because they are the most current and most direct measure of who is engaging with the creator now. Hashtag analysis and engagement patterns sharpen the picture and catch edge cases.
Our most important asset is not a single snapshot. Audience data is refreshed at regular intervals and every snapshot is kept, so the changes between intervals surface proprietary data points that no static database can replicate.
Retention compares the size and make-up of the engaged audience between snapshots. High retention means a loyal, stable base. Low retention means the creator is cycling through disposable reach.
By comparing stored snapshots at 3, 6, and 9 month intervals, we detect whether a creator's audience has shifted significantly in geography, age, interests, or language mix.
Years of stored snapshots reveal trajectories. When the data shows a consistent direction across multiple intervals, we can project where a creator's audience is heading, not just where it is today.
Audience profiles are not a guess. Every profile we ship is checked against two independent validation tracks before it can be trusted as a data point.
Every creator's audience profile is built from multiple weighted signals, with engagers as the heaviest weight because they are the people actually responding to the content.
